“Don’t talk to me…”
January 24th, 2010“… get outa here and close the door, Mommy!”Ahhh, yes our little teenaged 2 year old. That’s the thanks I get for taking toys out of the bath.

Saturday the 23rd of January (yesterday) we went sledding with Leif, Inger and Lann. Since we have had snow for quite a while (it came before Christmas) the popular hills are now nearly ice covered. This means that the hills are super fast!
Click here for a video of the action.
There was also a sleigh on a track that Mattias called the “snow train.” Here is a video of Lann pushing Mattias on the sleigh.
Here’s a fabulous video of our future soccer star that my sister sent me a couple of weeks ago. I’m behind I know! You wouldn’t believe that our little world traveler had some difficulties adjusting to the time change. It took a full 9 days and we weren’t even in Spokane by day 8. On Wednesday January 14th Mattias fell asleep at 9.30 pm (it was our brilliant idea to keep him up as late as possible so that he would sleep for good) and imagine our surprise when he woke up at midnight to play. Mattias was totally awake until about 7am when he crashed. I immediately called work and explained that I could not come in since Mattias would likely sleep the entire day. Wrong! Shoulda sent the little monster to school cause he was up again at 7.30 for good. He didn’t fall asleep again until 8.30 pm! We’ve been pretty good ever since. Phew.
With that behind us, here come a few blog posts
Oh, and happy belated birthday to just about everyone who has a birthday in January but especially aunt Jenny and Grandpa!
We decided to let Mattias have a go at skiing. We bundled him up, rented skis, bought a ticket for the “magic carpet” and he loved it… for about 10 mins. Then he said, “I need to go back to Grandma and Grandpa’s. I’m finished.” And that was it.
Mattias wants to go skiing again but I think we might wait until next year… or maybe a few years.
