Mattias’ first Lucia he decided to be a gingerbread man (he got to choose between a star boy, santa and gingerbread man).
While he practiced his songs at home (almost to the point of annoyance) he got a little “deer in the headlights” ish when it came to the actual performance. Here is a video of Barnen’s Montessori Akademi singing Lucia songs. You can almost see Mattias.
Saint Lucia is celebrated for bringing light during the time of darkness. She wore a crown of candles in her hair (which, if you ask me, is well on your way to earning a Darwin award…). Thankfully today children use battery powered fake ones
