We lowered the mattress in Mattias’ crib since we were afraid he’d jump out. Yesterday after his nap he didn’t want to get out of the crib and cried when I picked him up. He thinks that it is his personal jungle gym… it definitely makes getting him to sleep more difficult.
Today Mattias had is 9 month check-up since we’ll be out of town when he officially turns 9 mos old. He is 29inches (74 cm) tall and 19.5 lbs (8.9kg). This means that he is still tall and skinny. The doctor suggested switching him to cow’s milk since he is a healthy (nearly) 9 month old. Fredrik and I were a bit concerned that Mattias has a lazy left eye and the doctor agreed so we are going to a pediatric ophthalmologist when we get back from Sweden. Lazy eyes are fairly common and easy to treat (especially when you catch them early enough) so we’re anxious to work with a specialist.
Other than that we excited about our trip to Sweden/Austria and can’t wait to see many of you next week.
