Well… we made it back across the Atlantic. We were a little worried about flying this time with Mattias because he had a little cold but it wasn’t any problem at all. He’s now successfully made it through 8 take-offs and landings. We didn’t have the little basket this time on the flight so he sat on our laps the entire way. As you can imagine we were pretty sick of each other by the time we arrived in Vancouver. It has also been a little trickier getting over jet-lag since we didn’t sleep so well on the flight. We’re just now getting in to the routine of things.
On Thursday I was going to take the little guy and meet my mom and sister for lunch in Bellingham – so I quickly typed up a consent form and hurried to Fredrik’s office to get it signed (so that I could get Mattias over the border). He signed it and then I went back to the car – which was already loaded- only to hear… raa raa raa raa. !?! The car wouldn’t start so I tried again… raa raa raa raa… Nothing! Mattias started crying… waa waaa waa One last try and… beep beep beep the car alarm is going off.. and then Mattias in the background started laughing. I didn’t think it was funny. I’m pretty bummed that I didn’t get to see my sister for her birthday but my mom and dad made it up yesterday to jump the car so that I could buy a new battery. The car is working much better now. Not quite the welcome home I was looking for.

I love the picture of Fredrik & Mattias snuggling. It is such an adorable picture. I’m sorry to hear about your car battery. That stinks.
