Yesterday Mattias was baptized in Salem’s Church. Congratulations to new god-parents Jenny and Travis Lynch! According to the priest you are supposed to come and visit often but never call before. That way you will be able to surprise us and see if we are taking good care of Mattias.
We celebrated with dinner and presents after the ceremony.
Mattias got his very own soccer chair. Fredrik was jealous.
And as you can see Mattias is definitely ready for the European championships. Check out all of his new national team clothes.
It was an amazing day and we couldn’t have done it without help from Farmor and neighbor Kerstin who spent most of the day preparing food and then doing the dishes. THANKS AGAIN!
I forgot to mention that the baptismal gown was made by Sandie Amos (who made both of my bridal gowns and the made of honor dress). Everyone in Sweden was thoroughly impressed – and so were we
It certainly looks like Mattias took the day seriously – no smiling at all! I love him in his new soccer chair (how’s that fitting on the airplane coming home?)
It looks like you had a wonderful day for it (we’ve had nothing but rain, rain, RAIN here!). Did all your menu planning work out?
Love, gma
PS…Mattias looks like he might be growing a bit so you should remind him that he promised me he wouldn’t be doing any growing until he got home!
Congratulations Mattias! (Or whatever you’re supposed to say when someone gets baptized…)
We are so honored and excited to be Mattias’ godparents…and we have absolutely ZERO problems with the visiting often requirement
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Jenny & Travis
