Last weekend we visited Copenhagen. Mattias wasn’t thrilled with the idea of having his own seat and therefore seatbelt but you can’t have everything. The highlight of our trip was the Swedish national team… oh wait, that was the low point (more on that later)… but seriously TIVOLI. Mattias had a blast riding the carousel and the cars and trying to work his way through a hay maze.
There was also a halloween parade (music -ok, people in costumes – not so much). And a playground for kids with a huge mattress to jump on (no pictures of this near disaster). You can see the huge mattress in the backround of the picture on the right.
After playing all morning in the brisk autumny weather we had to warm up with some pølse (Danish hotdogs served with bread – not in bread) and chocolate milk. Who can blame us?
Then it was off to camp Sweden. It was as depressing as it looks and the performance of the national team did little to lift spirits (unless it is the sort of spirit that is often mixed with soda…).
Since this past weekend our dear Canadian friends celebrated Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for Copenhagen and the excuse to have a mini vacation with my nearest and dearest.
It looks like a fun place to go visit. It looks like a little kid paradise!
Sorry about the game. That’s always a bummer.
Aha! When Mattias was talking about a horse, he was talking about a carousel.
love, gma
