Mattias had just about as long of a first day as anyone can have – being born first thing in the morning left a lot of his birthday to celebrate. He received his first bath from Dad and a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. (Sorry we don’t have so many pictures but we forgot to charge the camera! Thank-goodness for cellphones with cameras). Mattias spent the vast majority of his first day sleeping off the trauma of the morning. He wasn’t interested in food, sights or sounds – just sleep. While we heard the other babies in the nursery peep up every now and again Mattias remained content to just relax in the arms of anyone willing to hold him.
